The new BMW 5 Series hybrid version will be listed next year
Recently, foreign media exposed the new generation BMW 5 Series (G30) two plug-in hybrid version 530e and 540e spy photos, this two cars are expected to be officially released in 2017.
Relevant personage revealed some details of the next generation BMW 5 Series hybrid version, it is expected to launch BMW 530e and 540e two kinds hybrid models with different power output. The new car is based on BMW 330e hardware technology to upgrade, to match the body weight and size of BMW 5 Series. The conventionally power of the new generation BMW 5 Series (G30) will be released in October this year at the Paris Motor Show, and then the plug-in hybrid version 5 Series 530e and 540e will be published next year.
BMW 530e will use the hybrid system consists of a 2.0T four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, integrated maximum power output about 284 horsepower. In pure electric mode, the maximum mileage of 35 kilometers, the maximum speed can up to 120km / h. According to reliable sources, the new car still will use rear-wheel drive mode, and provide xDrive optional package.
While the more powerful BMW 540e is used turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine, the engine with can be controlled double overhead camshaft VANOS system, VALVETRONIC electronic valves and high-precision direct injection technology and so on, the maximum power output about 262 horsepower, match with maximum power output of 95 horsepower electric motor, integrated power output will reach 331 hp.
In pure electric mode, the BMW 540e highest mileage of 31 kilometers, the maximum speed can up to 120km / h. The car will use 9-speed automatic gearbox, as the same rear-wheel drive, and also can optional xDrive system. Water-cooled electric motor will work together with the battery pack placed beneath the rear seats.
In test, the BMW 5 Series (G30) hybrid version 530e and 540e can still use BMW ICOM series diagnostic tools to diagnosis all the system. BMW ICOM A2 is new generation BMW Scanner with the latest V12.2015 BMW ISTA SOFTWARE for diagnosing and programming BMW group vehicles include Mini,Rolls-Royce and motorbike.
